On the afternoon of April 16, 2016 Duan Yuezhong, Editor-in-Chief of the Duan Press, Haruo Shimada, President of Chiba University of Commerce (CUC) and other members of the delegation visited HUHST. Accompanied by Guo Jun, Chair of the university counsel, Vice President Shi Xiaochun, leaders of the School of Fine Arts and Design and leaders from the municipal government, the delegation visited the Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition Hall of HUHST. The delegation spoke highly of the works exhibited in the hall.

The delegation then went to the First Meeting Room in the library to attend the meeting which was chaired by Shi and addressed by Guo. Guo extended a warm welcome to the delegation, introduced the status quo of HUHST and hoped that this meeting will serve as the starting point for the cooperation between the two universities. Shimada introduced the memebers of the delegation and expressed his enthusiasm for Hunan culture and Chinese culture. Finally, Shi introduced the School of Business of HUHST and hoped that the two universities can develop cooperation in fields of teacher and student exchanges, teacher training, and research and that Japanese youth are welcome to learn Chinese and Chinese culture.

Leaders from the Loudi Municipality, School of Business, Office of Teaching Affairs, and the International Office of HUHST attended the meeting.
