Double Ninth festival in September 9^th represents astrong respect for the elderly person. On October 13^th, the university held a meeting on the 2021 Double Ninth Festival in the conferenceroom of the library. Chairperson of the University Consil Liu Heyun, President Liu Tieming, Deputy Party Secretary Li Junlin, Vice President Liu Tiefeng, LiuJianxun and Cao Xin attended the meeting, and the university trade union, the Office of Retirement, the Party and Government Office, the Personnel Departmentand the Logistics Infrastructure Department and representatives of retired staff also attended. The meeting was hosted by Li Junlin.

President Liu Tieming extended holiday greetings to all the oldcomrades, sincerely thanked them for their important contributions to the development of the university, and introduced the recent work, achievements andfuture development plans of the university. He said that the development of the university is permeated with the pains taking efforts and sweat of the retired staff members, and it is necessary to learn from their spirit and perseverance,inheritance and carry forward the excellent quality.

Liu Heyun answered all the questions raised by the old comrades,and asked the relevant functional departments to carefully sort out all the questions and suggestions, and timely solve them and put them into place. He sent sincere holiday wishes to the old staff.

The meeting was harmonious, attendants expressing opinions and exchanging ideas freely. The retired staff have fully affirmed the developmentand achievements of the university, and hope that the university will rise to ahigher level and create brilliant achievements again. They said that the university has always attached great importance to and cared for the life of retired staff,which made them feel the warmth of the "big family". They also putforward many valuable opinions on the career development of the university
